Almost all businesses have an area that is restricted to "Staff Only". For very little outlay you can protect these areas and allow only nominated people to enter without the added expense of having keys. If you have a modern alarm, many have the necessary components in-built to allow for the provision of 1 to 4 Proximity card readers. When staff are hired or leave, there is no need to go to the expense of getting a locksmith in, as you can manage the system on your computer, adding and deleting cards as required, or changing a persons level of access as they are promoted or otherwise. If the guest forgets to return the room key, you simply delete the card from the system, making it useless. This becomes more cost effective and certainly more secure than the old room key method.
